The reverse cake discharge mechanism of a candle filter relies on the physical action of the reverse fluid impact to separate the slag. Unlike conventional forward filtration, where the fluid flow direction changes, the discharge stage alters the direction of the medium or airflow, penetrating the filter media structure from the inside of the candle core outwards. The outward thrust generated by the reverse fluid acts directly on the filter cake layer attached to the candle core surface, breaking the bridging adsorption forces between particles.

During forward filtration, particles adhere tightly to the filter core surface due to fluid pressure, with interlocking particles forming a dense filter cake structure that cannot be completely separated by conventional rinsing. Under the continuous action of the reverse fluid, the slag, no longer adsorbed and fixed, settles naturally under its own gravity, converging at the slag discharge area at the bottom of the tank, completing the overall cake discharge process. The entire operating mechanism requires no mechanical contact or friction, relying on fluid dynamics principles to completely peel off the filter cake without causing wear to the candle core filter media structure. At the same time, it can significantly reduce the fine residue residue on the surface of the filter element and restore the filter media to its permeable state.
