SBC Fully Automatic Candle Filter

Developed for applications with relatively simple process requirements, this cost-effective, fully automated candle filter features a unique plum-petal-shaped filter element skeleton as its core component.

As the process fluid passes through the filter cloth, the resulting filtrate flows down through the peripheral tubes of the filter element to the bottom, where it collects at the base of the central tube before rising into the collection manifold. Whether the accumulated solids are discharged as a slurry or as dry cake, the process is facilitated by a reverse-blowing airflow and pressure pulse. The patented candle structure enhances the efficacy of the reverse-blowing airflow; the rapid pulse of gas causes the filter cloth to detach from the filter element skeleton and expand outward. The SBC filter is capable of fully automated operation via a PLC system, thereby ensuring consistent filtration quality. This design incorporates no moving parts during operation, resulting in exceptionally low maintenance requirements and costs. Furthermore, the application of advanced synthetic materials in the filter housing and filtration elements significantly enhances the system's operational stability and extends its service life.

Scope of Application

1: The product is available in five filtration area specifications: 0.5 m², 1 m², 3 m², 5 m², and 9 m².

2: The product is suitable for operating conditions involving low flow rates and low solid content.

3: The product is capable of discharging residual solids or slurries; however, it does not feature functions such as thickening or metered dosing.

4: The product is particularly well-suited for wastewater filtration, as well as for filtering adsorbents—such as activated carbon, diatomaceous earth, bleaching earth, perlite, and cellulose—and inorganic salts from mother liquors.
