Installation method of Hastelloy reactor

The installation of Hastelloy reactor is a relatively complex but crucial process, the following are some detailed installation steps and precautions:

Installation procedure

‌ Preparatory work ‌ :

Make sure the reactor and its accessories (such as agitator, seals, etc.) are in good condition.

Clean the installation site to ensure that the workbench is strong, flat, and has enough space for installation and later maintenance.

‌ Mounting chassis and support structure ‌ :

If the reactor is equipped with a chassis and movable components (such as pulleys), ensure that they are securely installed, easy to move and increase stability.

‌ Install sealing jacket and reducer ‌ :

Remove reactor clamp, install sealing jacket and tighten screws.

Install the reducer and fix the four screws, and then install the reducer bracket screws.

‌ Install agitator ‌ :

Remove the lock nut and stop ring of the agitator, insert the lock nut into the output shaft of the reducer support, and clamp the stop ring.

Clean the mechanical seal PTFE sealing surface to ensure that it is free of dust and scratches, and then place it in the water jacket.

Disassemble the agitator to check whether it is in good condition, then slowly insert it through the center hole of the kettle cover, and turn the agitator counterclockwise until it stops turning. Note that the output shaft of the reducer cannot follow the rotation.

‌ Assembling reactor ‌ :

Align the cover with the body of the reactor and tighten the clamp.

Adjust the mechanical seal of the water jacket, ensure that the clearance around the blender is uniform, and tighten the screws holding the water jacket diagonally.

Install the sealing pressure ring, and pad the rubber or cloth inside the pressure ring, and adjust the clearance of the pressure spring on the mechanical seal to the appropriate position (such as about 5 mm).

‌ Electrical and control system connection ‌ :

Connect all wires, including the power cord, the electric furnace wire between the controller and the kettle, the motor wire, and the temperature sensor and tachometer wire.

Check that the movable parts and fixed contacts on the panel and rear panel are normal, and ensure that the connectors are in good contact.

‌ Debugging and inspection ‌ :

Close the air main switch and set various parameters on the digital display table (such as upper alarm temperature, working temperature, etc.).

Press the "heating" and "stirring" switch, debug, observe the motor rotation, ensure no noise or friction sound.

Perform air tightness check to ensure that there is no leakage in each connection.
